The Lore and Eric F. Ross JCC in Boynton Beach has created a buzz with its Center
Stage Series, featuring notable singers and comedians, and its newer
Sights & Sounds series in the fall adds art and theatre to its
cultural offerings.
Special programming such as “A Day in the
Catskills” was incredibly well-received, allowing many in our community
to re-live seminal experiences in those mountain resorts north of the
Big Apple.
Many of our concerts have turned into musical
events that have attendees talking for weeks. Jewish African-American
gospel singer Joshua Nelson is a prime example as is veteran
singer-songwriter Debbie Freidman.
Partnering with
agencies such as the Jewish Federation and the Abraham Project has
allowed us to present special community-wide programs such as
Harmony
for Humanity: Daniel Pearl Music Day as well as performances by
Ethiopian Israelis.
We are, indeed, the People of the Book, Song, Play, Film, and more—and the J is the place to experience all of it.
